We're a new church here on the Northshore committed to being a loving community that's shaped by the work of Jesus and joining his mission in the renewal of all things. Whethere you're a Chrisitian or simply curious and exploring what it means to believe in Jesus, we hope this brief worship guide will help you follow along and participate in today's service.

It would seem that Our Lord finds our desires not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea. We are far too easily pleased.

Each one of us has come today carrying different burdens and anxieties, which might make it challenges to focus on the God and his Word. Here at the beginning of our worship service, we take a few moments to read a Psalm together, meditating on who God is, and praying through his attributes that we find in the passage. Tap on the tabs below as we read together and spend a few moments in a guided time of praying in reverence, response, requests, and readiness.
23 Nevertheless, I am continually with you;

Based on the attributes of God we see in this Psalm, close your eyes and complete these sentences as you pray in your heart to him:
First, we come to him in reverence. Finish this sentence in your prayer right now: “God, I praise you for your provision in …”
Next, we move to our response to the goodness we see of God as we surrender to him and his ways. Finish this sentence as you continue to pray: “I confess that I struggle to recognize your loving care when …”
Now, we present our requests to God, asking his Spirit to guide our prayers over the concerns we have. Once again, finish this sentence in prayer: “Father, renew my faith and perspective about …”
Finally we ask for readiness and strength as we continue to live for Jesus. As we close this time, spend the next few moments finishing this last sentence in prayer: "Thank you that I can make you my refuge and tell of all your works when the enemy tries to ..."

Each week we pray for one of the churches or ministries that we get to serve alongside as part of the Northshore Gospel Network (NGN). We helped start NGN in August 2025 with a mission to provide encouragement, support, and collaboration among churches in multiple denominations as we share the good news of Jesus with every man, woman, and child across the Northshore.
Having looked into the Scriptures and considering Jesus, we are led to respond to who he is and what he has done. Below are three common areas of response

One of the ways we respond to the preaching of Scripture most weeks is by celebrating communion (also known as the Lord's Supper). During this time of response, all followers of Jesus are invited to come forward to the table on either side of the room and take one cup that has both the bread and juice, representing the body of Christ broken for us and the blood of Christ shed for us. We partake of the meal to remember our ongoing need for a Savior, our overflowing provision through Christ, and to be spiritually nourished by him through his Holy Spirit.
*This meal is only for those who have repented of their sin and placed their faith in the finished work of Jesus. If you are still exploring faith and are not a Christian, then we encourage you to spend this time in prayer, continuing to read Scripture, or joining our church in singing.
One of the ways we respond to Christ giving himself for us is that we also give through his church. Giving is meant to be an act of worship because of what God's grace, not a legalistic way we earn God's grace.
