We partner with families to provide resources that help raise children with a love for Jesus.

The heart of Restoration Community Church is that all people on the Northshore would be positively impacted by the Gospel of Jesus Christ—and that includes kids! In Mark 10, Jesus invites the children to come to him telling his followers that, “whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.” Children are a gift from God, invited by Him into a life of discipleship with Christ, and we would love to come alongside you as parents as they learn to follow Jesus.
While our Sunday morning Kids Ministry currently serves only birth through 3rd grade, these are our commitments to every family in the life of our church.
Each year we take children through the full story of the Bible helping them understand how Jesus is the fulfillment of Scripture, our needed Savior, and our greatest strength for every part of life.
From our Sunday morning volunteers to our occasional fellowship events, we want the way we welcome, encourage, and serve children to communicate the loving heart that God has for them.
Our church is committed to finding and recommending tools that will help families in discipling their children to follow Jesus as well as bringing parents together for intentional times of equipping and support.

Below are some common questions to help you prepare for your first visit at Restoration Community Church.
When you arrive, one of the greeters from our Connect Team will lead you to the Kids check-in area down the ramp and directly behind the main theatre building. We'll also have signs to help point you in the right direction.
Our Kids volunteers will be wearing a green badge and will ask you for some initial information, so we can get you and your child setup in our system. This helps us keep our Kids environment safe so that only authorized parents or guardians are able to drop-off and pick-up your child.
During the worship service, your child will have the opportunity to play with the other children, work on a craft, enjoy a snack (unless otherwise communicated), and participate in a Bible lesson. Our church uses the Growing in God's Word curriculum, which takes children on age appropriate journeys through the entire Bible helping them see how the good news of Jesus is the fulfillment of every story.
Once the service is over, you will head back to the Kids area with your check-in tag and hand it to one of our Kids volunteers, so that we can match it to their name label as we bring your child back to you.
On your first visit, one of our Kids volunteers will ask for some additional contact information for both you and your child.
On any future visits, you will be able to check-in your child through the iPad at the entrance to our Kids area by entering your phone number and print off a nametag for your child to wear and a pick-up tag for you to keep until after the service.
Each of our Kids Volunteers are members at Restoration Community Church who have been background checked and trained by a member of our team. Each classroom will have at least two volunteers serving in the room at all times.
For the children's safety and each parent's peace of mind, we require all adults staying in the Kids area to be background checked members of Restoration Community Church.
On your first visit, you are welcome to accompany your child and the Kids volunteer into their classroom for drop-off and to see the space.
We understand that trusting anyone with your children is a very big decision. If you would prefer your child join you during the service at any point, one of our Connect Team volunteers can provide you with a Kids in Service Bag, which has coloring pages, a small gift, and additional items for your children to use while they're there.
Community Groups are small groups of people that meet in a home to build relationships, study the Bible, and look for opportunities where they can serve together. Each group develops its own plan for families with children, from having them stay together with the adults to paying for a babysitter to rotating between one another for watching the kids while the group is happening. Please check-in with one of our group leaders to talk through their specific setup.
