How Do We Grow as a Christian?

How do we grow to be more like Jesus? True change isn’t about trying harder or doing more — it's connected to where we put our focus and where we find our identity. In Colossians 3:1–4, we see that growth flows from allowing who Jesus is and what he has done for us in the gospel to shape every aspect of our lives.

Growth comes as we fix our eyes on Christ, seeking the things above rather than the distractions of the world, and as we live from the reality of our new identity in Him. We’ve been made alive in Christ, forgiven, and given a new heart. True transformation flows from resting in who we are in Jesus, not from striving in our own strength.
