God has called each of us to glorify Him in every area of our lives, including our work. Whether in an office, classroom, hospital, construction site, or countless other places, our everyday work provides opportunities to love our neighbors and serve the Lord faithfully. As we conclude our sermon series, The Gospel at Work, we're hosting our first-ever Vocation Commissioning Service on Sunday, October 25. During our worship gathering, we'll set aside time to recognize and pray for those in our church family who have started a new job or stepped into a new role over the past year. Through responsive readings and prayer, these individuals will commit to honoring God in their work, while our church family commits to encouraging them with the gospel as they seek to serve Him faithfully. This is an opportunity to remember that our work doesn't earn us God's favor, but because of what Christ has accomplished for us, even our most ordinary work can be done for His glory. Have you started a new job or received a promotion in the past year? We invite you to participate in this special time of prayer and commissioning.
