Last words tend to reveal what matters most.

As Paul closes his letter to the church in Colossae, he doesn’t introduce new ideas—he reinforces the rhythms that keep Jesus at the center of our lives. In Colossians 4:2–18, Paul shows how a gospel‑shaped church is sustained through steadfast prayer, faithful engagement with those outside the church, and deep commitment to Christian community. Grace frames the letter from beginning to end, reminding us that the Christian life is not fueled by effort or formulas, but by dependence on Christ and participation in the people He has redeemed.

This sermon explores Paul’s final words to Colossae and calls us to live with Jesus as our sufficient Savior—praying with watchfulness and gratitude, walking wisely toward outsiders, and linking arms together as the local church for the sake of the gospel.
