Summary

We talk naturally about what we love—so why does sharing Jesus sometimes feel so hard?

In Matthew 28:16–20, Jesus sends his disciples on the mission we call the Great Commission, grounding it not in guilt or pressure but in his authority, his worth, and his promised presence. Kingdom multiplication flows from who Jesus is and what he has done, not from religious obligation or personality type.

In this sermon, we look at why followers of Jesus are called to commit their lives to seeing more people come to know and live for him—and how that happens through ordinary faithfulness, gospel proclamation, baptism, and life-on-life discipleship. Because Jesus reigns, because he stays with us, and because he is worth it, the church joyfully joins him in making disciples from our city to the ends of the earth.
