Acts 2:40-47
True Christian community doesn’t hide from the world — it’s formed around the gospel and overflows into our city.
In Acts 2:40–47 Luke shows how the gospel reshapes people’s identities and draws them out of the crooked patterns of the world into a new community centered on Jesus. Because they were cut to the heart by the message, they repented, were baptized, and joined a body that devoted itself to teaching, fellowship, and shared life. That inward, gospel-shaped community gave them favor with their city and became the means by which God added to their number day by day.
As a new church plant, we want Restoration Community Church to be a place where people are known, challenged, and cared for — and where that communion with one another naturally reaches outward to our neighbors. This sermon explains why we need the local church, how we enter into its life, and what gospel-centered participation looks like in practice.
